Thiruvenkadam Velupillai Prabhakaran :
He was the founder and leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, a militant organization that sought to create an independent Tamil state in the north and east of Sri Lanka.
Director Gowthaman of Magizhchi and Sandhana Kaadu fame is all set to take up the biopic of LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran.
In an official release, the director announced, I have decided to Eelam the biopic of LTTE Prabhakaran and I’m very particular about doing this.
The film will be based on the documentation made by noted Tamil writer Mr Nedumaran.
The incidents and the blood loss documented by the writer in his book supposedly moved director Gowthaman, which in turn encouraged him to take up the project.
Writer Nedumaran :
Gowthaman is very much qualified to handle a subject as sensitive as the lives of LTTE Prabhakaran and his people. My best wishes to the director on his effort.
Director Gowthaman requested :
All Tamil people across the world to support him in making and releasing the film without any troubles.
